Erick Lindgren is a professional poker player, an avid golfer and prop bettor and a full member of Team Full Tilt.  Erick was always a competitive athlete, but he wasn’t quite good enough to earn himself a scholarship in baseball or basketball.  Instead, Lindgren had to turn his focus to poker and golf, both of which have won him a lot of money over the years.

After high school, Lindgren worked at a local casino and played the small stake cash games during his off hours.  Eventually he got good enough at poker that he decided to play professionally.  Erick kept this decision under wraps from his parents for a while, but when he continued to have success he built up the confidence to tell them about his career decision.

Erick moved to Las Vegas after a few years of playing pro at his hometown casino.  A few months after the move Lindgren won the Bellagio Poker Classic, taking home $230K.  A few years later in ’04 Lindgren broke out with a very successful year on the World Poker Tour that won him player of the year honours.  Lindgren’s success continued the following year with two more final table finishes on the World Poker Tour and a big win on the Pro Poker Tour.  Erick was considered one of the best players to never win a WSOP bracelet, until he finally got it done in ’08.  Lindgren now has over $4 Million in poker tournament winnings.

Erick also loves to get action away from the poker tables, especially on the golf course.  Lindgren plays golf with high rollers like Ivey and Negreanu and they are constantly exchanging money on the course.  Lindgren is probably the best player of the bunch so he always has to give strokes to his buddies in order to get action.

One of the most remarkable achievements in Erick Lindgren’s career came when he won the FTOPS event that he was hosting at Full Tilt Poker.  This was the first time an FTOPS event was ever won by the host and it could very well be the last.  Lindgren won $291K for finishing first in the 5600 player tournament.  Look for a repeat performance from this baller the next time he hosts an FTOPS event.
