Full Tilt Poker Adds Mike McDonald to Red Pros Team
April 25, 2009
Full Tilt Poker has just added another name to its Full Tilt Red Pro roster. That name belongs to Canadian 20-year-old Mike McDonald (aka "timex").
He finished in 5th place and won $249,000 in the recent €5,000 buy-in, European Poker Tour Dortmund event, the same tournament he won in 2008, for more than $1.3 million.
Ironically enough, despite all his accolades, McDonald still cannot yet participate in the tournament of all tournaments, the World Series of Poker Main Event (or any of its side events, for that matter), because he is not yet of age (though he has promised to be in attendance to witness the extravaganza).
Full Tilt Poker's Red Pros include the star-studded Team Full Tilt - including the likes of Jennifer Harman, Howard Lederer, Gus Hansen, Erick Lindgren, Chris Ferguson, and Phil Ivey - as well as Team Cardrunners, The Hendon Mob, and Full Tilt Pros.
All this is to say that young Mike McDonald is in good company.
