Record $600,000+ Pots All the Rage at Full Tilt Poker
September 18, 2008
Saturday, September 13, 2008, Full Tilt Poker saw two records broken in a single day at its tables: awarding the biggest online poker pot ever, followed up by awarding a second pot of over $600,000 in the same day.
At Full Tilt Poker’s “RailHeaven” table – a regular 6-player $500/$1000 No Limit Texas Holdem game – player “patatino” raked in $609,730, the largest pot awarded in an online poker game ever. Even more incredible, he accomplished this feat in a hand with three players pre-flop and a meager pair of deuces, his two opponents failing to make their respective flush and straight draws.
Just a few hours later, Team Full Tilt poker celeb, David Benyamine, nearly beat that newly set record, claiming a $604,247 pot for himself. This with pocket Aces and an Ace on the turn, giving him a set to his opponent, Antonius’s three sixes.
